  • Oversee management of ground maintenance and contract on all campuses.
  • Participate in the milieu to support clients’ treatment and recovery at ADULT and ADOL programs/campuses.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to identify urgent issues and improve services.
  • Communicate with other clinical staff regarding client issues.
  • Share information about client progress with primary counselors.
  • Coordinate Horticulture Program at ADULT and ADOL programs.
  • Plan and facilitate Horticulture Therapy Groups.
  • Work with community volunteers to deliver services.

  • Manage Horticulture budget, greenhouse, pond, & garden maintenance.

  • Attend and report on landscape, gardens, ground, greenhouse in monthly Safety committee meetings.
  • Complete Skyland Trail’s driver training for bus and van use.
  • Plan and maintain upkeep of all garden areas at multiple campuses.
  • Document group notes and attendance.
  • Participate in planning and implementing annual events.
  • Build relationships with local Garden Clubs, nurseries, and nature preserves.
  • Practice ethically and comply with facility policies and accreditation standards.

Competencies:

  • Safety: Oversee client safety and engagement during community outings, activities/lessons, equipment use, and exercise.
  • Documentation: Complete documentation in a timely manner in the electronic health record.
  • Communication of client engagement: Represent Adjunctive Therapies in clinical treatment meetings through client observation, insight, and ideas.
  • Supervision: Mentor Adjunctive Therapy interns and provide support.
  • Identify and support client needs and potential concerns/crisis.
